ABOUT KAIROS COOKIES:
Kairos Prison Ministry International, Inc. is the parent organization of a body of ministries addressing the spiritual needs of incarcerated men, women and children, their families and to those who work in the prison environment.
One way of reaching these inmates is by sharing homemade cookies with them during and after their Bible studies with Kairos team members.
Maumee United Methodist Church has a Kairos Cookie Team that takes these cookies to a local state penitentiary. Once our Youth learned of this ministry, they were excited to start baking cookies.
Both the Youth groups and adult mentors will be baking cookies two Saturdays, October 16th & 23rd. They would hope to be able to donate 100 dozen cookies by Sunday, October 24th when they need to be delivered to Maumee United Methodist Church.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
We invite you to join us in this effort. Please use the sign up sheet on the kiosk if you would like to help out.
1) Donate prepared cookie batters. Mix up a batch of ready to bake dough for our baking days and place it in the refrigerator at church by Friday October 15th or 22nd.
2) Bake up a couple batches and bring them in. There are specific cookie guidelines; check out the link below for a copy of the directions and sample recipes. You are welcome to use your favorite recipes of the types of cookies listed. Please deliver them to the church no later than the start of the 10 AM service on Sunday, October 24th. They will be delivered after that service.
Thank you from the Junior High and High School Youth groups!
