Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl is knitted by members of the congregation, and the knitter prays for whomever will receive it.  Members can request a prayer shawl that they themselves will deliver to the person in need.  Once a Prayer Shawl is requested, a note with the prayer request is attached and it is passed through our three services so each person in attendance has an opportunity to pray for that person and their personal need.  Prayer Shawls are for the person who is facing challenges in their life, including physical, mental, and spiritual issues.  The hope is that the recipient will find comfort as they wrap themselves in a Prayer Shawl that has been prayerfully made, and prayed over for their specific need.  Prayer Shawls can be requested for anyone, not just church members.  To request one for someone, please contact the church office at (419) 877-0607 or email secretary@commofchrist.org.
